One of the three injured victims from the explosion at a gun and ammunition factory in Marikina has passed away.

In a breaking news report by Vicky Morales on GMA 7's '24 Oras,' the heartbreaking news was confirmed by the victim’s relatives.

Meanwhile, in a statement released by Armscor Global Defense Inc., the company said that they are already coordinating with the authorities to determine the cause of the explosion.

They also stated that emergency response services were immediately dispatched, in line with their safety protocol.

In a statement, shared by GMA 7's '24 Oras,' Armscor Global Defense Inc. said:

"We are closely cooperating with the PNP to determine the cause of the explosion, and will provide updates as they come...We immediately dispatched emergency response services in line with our safety protocols to prevent the likelihood of further injuries or damage...AGDI has been strictly compliant with all applicable international standards and practices, along with local regulations as well as inspections conducted by the Philippine National Police."

Armscor Global Defense Inc. is the largest firearms and ammunition manufacturer in the Philippines, based in Marikina City.

Armscor has invested heavily in advanced facilities and supports the government’s push for a self-reliant defense posture by developing locally designed weapons for the military and police.

In a previous report by KAMI, a man lost both of his hands from an explosion inside a gun and ammunition factory. The loud explosion, which happened in Marikina City, was heard by residents. In a report by GMA 7's '24 Oras,' Marikina police said that the explosion happened around 2 P.M. today. Authorities added that what triggered the explosion was what they call 'primer' of a bullet.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement
