In a media interview held Thursday, July 3, Ang expressed his disbelief and disappointment over the claims made by Totoy, whom he once considered close.

“Mag-isip ka, Don. Kung ano man ang mga—huwag ka na magsinungaling nang magsinungaling. Itinuring kitang parang anak ko eh. Hindi ko alam na ganyan ka kasama,” Ang said, addressing the whistleblower directly as shared by News5.

The businessman emphasized that he felt deeply betrayed, stating that he treated Totoy like family and did not expect such damaging accusations to come from him.

Ang’s statement came just hours after he filed a formal complaint affidavit against Totoy at the Mandaluyong Prosecutor’s Office.

The charges stem from Totoy’s public claims linking Atong and Gretchen to the disappearance of cockfighting enthusiasts, a case that has drawn national attention and remains unresolved.

According to Ang’s camp, the allegations are baseless and are part of an orchestrated attempt to smear his name.

As of writing, Totoy has yet to respond to the formal complaint.

Meanwhile, the families of the missing sabungeros continue to seek answers and justice.

Authorities have yet to confirm any direct evidence linking Atong or Gretchen to the case. Investigations remain ongoing.
