According to Brigada News PH, the victim's mother sought help from barangay officials after her daughter went missing.
She reported the incident at the barangay hall, prompting an urgent search.
It was later discovered that the victim had gone to the house of the boyfriend’s uncle, who also lives in Barangay Pawa.

The girl was reportedly last seen with her boyfriend heading to that location.
With the help of barangay officials, the victim’s mother visited the uncle’s residence, where they managed to speak with him but did not find the victim.
After more than 24 hours with no contact from the missing girl, authorities received a call from Barangay Santo Cristo—where both the victim and her boyfriend lived—informing them that the boyfriend had surrendered to police.
During questioning, he confessed to the crime and revealed the location of the victim’s body.
She was found buried in a lot owned by his uncle in Barangay Pawa.
It was also confirmed that the victim was pregnant at the time of her death, adding a deeper layer of tragedy to the case.
Authorities are now conducting a full investigation into the incident while the suspect remains in police custody.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but, being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
