According to a report by GMA 7's '24 Oras Weekend,' the suspect allegedly committed the crime several times, which later led to the victim's pregnancy.

However, during his interview, the suspect denied that he forced the victim.
According to him, they both agreed and wanted what had happened to them.
The suspect, who is now detained, will be charged with statutory r@pe.
Statutory r@pe in the Philippines is a crime committed when an adult engages in s3xual activity with a person who is below the age of s3xual consent, even if the act appears to be consensual.
Under Republic Act No. 11648, the age of s3xual consent in the country was raised from 12 to 16 years old.
This means that any s3xual act involving a child under 16 is automatically considered statutory r@pe, regardless of whether the minor agreed to it or not.
The law is based on the idea that minors are not yet mature enough to give legal consent. Statutory r@peis punishable by life imprisonment and is considered a serious offense under Philippine law.
