According to a report by GMA Integrated News, the woman was bitten in March but did not inform anyone about the incident.

Symptoms of rabies began to appear only on May 24, shocking her family and medical staff.

A video shared by GMA showed the woman restrained on a hospital bed, yet her arms, head, and feet were visibly moving uncontrollably—an effect consistent with the late stages of rabies infection.

Her mother, in an emotional interview with GMA, said she noticed her daughter was already struggling to breathe.

When she asked her to take medicine, the daughter responded, "if she will drink medicine, she feels like she's going to drown."

The young woman reportedly was still able to record a video from the hospital before her death, capturing the tragic final moments of her battle.

Medical experts emphasize the importance of immediately seeking medical attention and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) after any animal bite.

Rabies is nearly always fatal once symptoms appear, but it is highly preventable if treated promptly after exposure.

This case serves as a painful reminder of the dangers of ignoring dog bites and the deadly consequences of untreated rabies.

Health authorities continue to urge the public to report all animal bites and ensure timely vaccination to prevent further tragedies.
