Following the attack, the victim is reportedly recuperating at a relative's home, having declined to provide a statement to authorities.
Police investigations indicate that the victim, identified in some reports as a 29-year-old call center agent named “Bret,” was ambushed by the three suspects.
Reports from Bombo Radyo Bacolod specify that the victim was allegedly stabbed multiple times with a pocketknife, sustained wounds including a slashed lip extending towards his ear, and cuts on his forehead, after his head was bashed with a glass bottle.
The incident reportedly took place around 2:00 AM.

It is suspected that the victim had a relationship with the former partner of one of the suspects, identified as “Ajay.”
Ajay and his former partner reportedly have a child together but are already separated. Police accounts suggest there had been prior confrontations and fistfights that escalated into the stabbing.
Authorities are actively pursuing the three assailants, who are now facing charges of frustrated hom1cide.
Despite the ongoing manhunt, the suspects remain at large. Police visited the alleged residences of the suspects but found no one.
Police Captain Cayao mentioned that two of the three suspects were also former colleagues of the victim at the call center.

The victim’s family has maintained silence regarding the incident, further indicating the sensitive nature of the alleged motive.
This case highlights the ongoing efforts of Bacolod City police to address and investigate violent crimes, particularly those stemming from interpersonal conflicts.
The priority for law enforcement remains the apprehension of the suspects to ensure justice for the victim and maintain peace and order in the community.
