A 10-year-old boy died after undergoing a circumcision operation in a lying-in clinic in Balut, Tondo.

In a report by John Consulta of GMA 7 in '24 Oras,' the mother of the boy brought him to the clinic past 2 PM on Saturday, May 17.

Before the operation started, the boy was reportedly given a 20cc dosage of anesthesia.

The procedure went smoothly, but the mother of the victim noticed that her son was already shaking afterward.

She said that she asked the doctor if that was normal, to which the doctor said yes because the boy was still groggy.

After that, the 10-year-old boy had seizures, according to the statement of his mother with '24 Oras.'

The boy's eyes were open, but he seemed to be unconscious. The victim was brought to a nearby hospital to be revived, but he eventually passed away.

The victim's family went to the Manila Police District, where they filed a blotter report. They also went to the National Bureau of Investigation for the incident to be investigated.

NBI Director, Jaime Santiago, said they will conduct an investigation, but most importantly, he said the autopsy result will determine the real cause of death of the boy.
