An oil tanker truck crashed into a tricycle in Ochando, New Washington, Aklan.
Based on the report from New Washington Police, the tricycle and the oil tanker truck were traveling on opposite lanes when the accident occurred.
The truck driver allegedly dozed off while driving, causing the vehicle to veer into the opposite lane and hit the oncoming tricycle.
"Nakaidlip siya (ang driver) bali, nag-going to the left siya so kinain niya ang lane ng tricycle," said LT RESSA GRACE REYNALDO DEPUTY CHIEF, NEW WASHINGTON MPS.

The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including the tricycle driver.
Meanwhile, four other passengers of the tricycle were injured and were rushed to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
The truck driver is now in the custody of the authorities. The suspect will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in multiple hom!cide, damage to property, and physical injuries.
In crimes, reckless imprudence means that a person acted carelessly or without thinking about the possible harmful effects of their actions, which then led to an accident or injury.
It does not always mean the person intended to hurt someone, but the law still holds them responsible because they failed to act with proper caution.
In the Philippines, this is punishable under the Revised Penal Code and can lead to charges like reckless imprudence resulting in hom!cide, physical injuries, or damage to property, depending on the result of the careless act.
The punishment can range from fines to imprisonment, depending on how serious the outcome is.
