Vice President Sara Duterte voiced her dismay on Monday night regarding the initial results of the 2025 elections, but affirmed her intention to form a “powerful” opposition to challenge the existing administration.

In a statement of appreciation to those who supported the candidates she backed in the polls, Duterte acknowledged the outcome was not what they had anticipated, Inquirer reported.
“While the outcome was not what we had hoped for, our commitment to the people remains unwavering. We will continue to hold the government accountable, advocate for the issues that matter, and work tirelessly to serve as a strong and constructive opposition,” she said.
Duterte also emphasized her aspiration to shape a future rooted in fairness and inclusivity, encouraging the public to be part of her efforts in assembling a forceful opposition bloc.
