According to the report, the police authorities identified the male suspect.

Based on the report, Balmaceda and the suspect allegedly got into an arguement which led to the crime.

Reportedly, the suspect admitted to committing the heinous crime. He will be charged with murder.

In the Philippines, if someone stabbed, hacked, and burned another person leading to their death, the suspect would most likely face a murder charge under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code.

Murder is committed when a person kills another with circumstances such as treachery, cruelty, abuse of superior strength, or methods that cause unnecessary suffering.

The acts of stabbing, hacking, and burning clearly demonstrate cruelty and a deliberate intent to kill, making it a case of murder rather than simple homicid3.

The penalty for murder is reclusion perpetua, which is up to 40 years of imprisonment, as the death penalty is currently suspended.

If it's proven that the act was premeditated, it would further strengthen the case and increase the severity of the punishment.

Caught by CCTV, three men entered their store, closed the roll up door, and shot the entire family to death. Before fleeing, one of the suspect even grabbed a bag and mobile phone from the suspects. In a report by Gary De Leon of TV 5's 'Frontline Pilipinas,' the family started getting threats after lending P1-M to one of the residents of their barangay; allegedly using the money for business.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband. According to the report of EJ Gomez in 'Unang Balita,' the 38-year-old suspect committed the crime inside the school's faculty room. Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
