A dog died after being viciously hit and burned by a man in Marilao, Bulacan.

Captured by CCTV, the man was seen mercilessly striking the poor animal with a long object in broad daylight.

The dog collapsed to the ground, and the man dragged it while it was limping and appeared unconscious.

Moments later, after the act of cruelty was caught on camera, the dog's lifeless body was seen burned.

The suspect was immediately arrested by authorities after the CCTV owner reported the incident of animal cruelty.

In a report by Susan Enriquez of GMA 7's 'Unang Balita,' the suspect said he committed the crime because the dog was allegedly chasing children. Although he didn't explain why he burned the dog.

On the contrary, the dog owner said their dog was not the type to be chasing humans. Their pet only got out of its cage on that instance.

The dog owner didn't pursue filing legal charges against the killer of their dog. Meanwhile, as a concerned citizen, the CCTV will be pressing charges against the offender.

The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
