Six vehicles were involved in a deadly collision in Barangay Pag-asa, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

According to a report by GMA 7's '24 Oras Weekend,' through GMA Regional TV, the crash took place right in front of the Dumalinao Police Station.

Several victims were trapped inside their vehicles following the crash.

Some of the vehicles were even thrown off the bridge because of the strong impact of the collision.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and the Regional Health Unit responded to rescue the victims.

Two victims were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. The aftermath of the incident was the crushed bumpers of the involved vehicles.

According to the initial investigation of the police authorities, the 10-wheeler truck came from Zamboanga City and was going to Pagadian City.

The brake of the truck allegedly malfunctioned, resulting in it hitting a minivan, a pickup truck, a delivery truck, a motorcycle, and two tricycles.

At least 14 people were injured in the incident.

The driver of the delivery truck will be facing multiple charges. He already surrendered and is now in the custody of the police authorities.

Police authorities said the school has a security guard, but being a familiar face in the school, the suspect managed to easily get in and out of the school. The suspect said he was there to talk to his wife and settle their misunderstanding, but unfortunately, it led to a big arguement.
