The Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) has vehemently refuted claims circulating on social media that it denied medical treatment to Dynah Talanas Plohinog, one of the victims of the tragic Good Friday incident in Barangay Alangilan, Bacolod City.

In a statement released on April 19, 2025, the hospital addressed what it called “categorically false” misinformation, allegedly originating from a local radio station.
The hospital emphasized its unwavering commitment to providing urgent and compassionate care to all patients, regardless of their status or the presence of family members.
“As the region's Apex Government Hospital, our teams acted swiftly and in accordance with established emergency protocols during the incident,” the statement read.

CLMMRH officials expressed deep sympathy to the families of the deceased and all those affected by the mass casualty event.
The Good Friday tragedy, which occurred on April 18, 2025, involved a vehicle driven by an Indian national that struck a religious procession in Barangay Alangilan.
Initial reports indicated at least ten people were hit, with several sustaining critical injuries.
Dynah Talanas Plohinog was among those injured and, tragically, succumbed to her injuries, becoming one of the three fatalities.

The alleged denial of treatment sparked outrage online. A Facebook post by one JohnNathaniel NatNat Navales Delmonte appealed for information to locate Plohinog’s family, suggesting she allegedly couldn’t be admitted without a relative present.
This post, along with the alleged radio report, fueled concerns about hospital protocols in emergency situations.
Another netizen that goes by the handle “Maano Kadi,” in a separate Facebook post, emphasized the importance of prioritizing lives in emergency cases.
CLMMRH, in its statement, directly addressed these concerns, stating that its actions were in line with established emergency protocols.
The hospital warned that such misinformation undermines public trust and discredits the tireless efforts of medical frontliners.
They urged the public to verify facts before sharing and called on the media outlet involved to issue a correction.
The incident has highlighted the importance of accurate reporting and responsible social media use, particularly in sensitive situations.
While the community mourns the loss of life and supports the injured, CLMMRH reaffirms its dedication to delivering equitable, safe, and accessible healthcare for all, thanking the public for their continued trust and support.

These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people, making them very relatable to just about simply everyone around.
It can be recalled that a vehicle struck a Good Friday procession in Barangay Alangilan in Bacolod City, leaving one dead on the spot, with 2 others dying in the hospital and around 10 persons injured. According to a report by Bombo Radyo Bacolod, the vehicle was reportedly being driven by an Indian national who was reportedly intoxicated. A barangay Tanod, in an interview, said that prior to plowing through the procession, the same vehicle already hit a tricycle. The report further states that the vehicle tries to flee the scene but authorities caught up with it and arrested the Indian National who allegedly appeared intoxicated.
In other news, an alleged intoxicated man disrupted a Holy Week penance in Pampanga on Maundy Thursday. A video, captured by a netizen and shared by GMA News, showed the chaotic scene while devotees are self-flagellating. The video also showed the devotees using whips they use for self-flaggelation for protection against the said intoxicated man. The intoxicated man was later apprehended, though both parties settled at the barangay with no formal complaint filed after discussion.
