A hot pursuit operation launched by Santiago City Police quickly led to the arrest of the suspect.

During interrogation, the pastor admitted to the attack.

The suspect said he only intended to retrieve and erase data from the victim’s cellphone. However, when she suddenly woke up, he panicked and stabbed her.

Further investigation revealed disturbing details about the attack.

According to Police Corporal Jan Bayang of Santiago CPS 3, “The suspect slammed the victim’s head several times, which showed an intent to kill.”

This violent act contradicted the pastor’s claim that his actions were not premeditated.
