Roxas reported that only the crocodile's head was visible, with the rest of its body concealed beneath a nearby house, indicating a significant size.

Animal expert Dr. Romulo Bernardo warned of the inherent danger posed by crocodiles in such close proximity to human activity.

He emphasized the speed and power of these creatures, highlighting their ability to strike sideways and pull victims underwater.

Residents of the area are accustomed to crocodile sightings, but the risk of attacks remains a constant concern, particularly when navigating the waterways.

The day after the crocodile was observed under the bridge, it attacked a dog named “Pochie,” seizing it by the head.

Pochie, however, fought back vigorously. Roxas recounted that during the attack, the crocodile's mouth came into contact with a rope.

It's believed that Pochie's struggles may have resulted in a kick to the crocodile's eye, causing it to release the dog.

Following its escape, Pochie swam to the shore, visibly bleeding from facial injuries. Remarkably, the dog made a full recovery within a few days.
