A man lost his life in Dumaguete City after accidentally piercing his left eye with an arrow.
In a report by Atom Araullo on GMA 7's 'State of the Nation,' the accident occurred while the man was catching crabs.
According to the report, he slipped during the activity, causing the arrow to strike his left eye.
His companion stated that despite the severe injury, the man was still able to speak after the tragic incident.

However, the man reportedly lost consciousness after removing the arrow from his eye.
They also got lost on their way to the hospital in hopes of getting immediate medical attention.
The man's family couldn't accept the tragic fate of their family member who was only trying to make a living.
Dumaguete Police is still conducting investigations about the incident.
In the Philippines, a family generally cannot file a criminal complaint if their loved one accidentally causes their own death, unless there is evidence of negligence, foul play, or legal liability.
However, they may pursue a case if someone else's recklessness contributed to the accident, such as in cases of negligent homicide, hazing, coercion, or maltreatment. If no crime was committed but another party was at fault, the family may still file a civil case for damages.
