According to the Moriones Tondo Police Station’s investigation, the assault stemmed from a dispute between the suspect and his wife.
Alvin Cristopher Baybayan, chief of the Moriones Tondo Police Station-MPD.
The suspect admitted to being intoxicated at the time of the incident.
He later apologized, pleading, “Nak, sorry nak.
he child, who suffered facial bruises, is now in the care of an aunt.
Wala namang kinalaman ‘yan. Andun na ‘yong pangyayari, hindi na natin mababalik,” said the aunt, who requested anonymity.
The suspect is currently detained at the Moriones Tondo Police Station and will face charges under R.A. 7610 for child abu&e. He is also set to undergo a drug test.
