A couple was arrested in Manila after being caught in a dr*g buy-bust operation, and they are also suspects in a murder case from last year.

According to Unang Balita of GMA News, the police reported that the couple was involved in the shooting at a computer shop in Parola on November 16, 2024.

CCTV footage from the scene showed the victim standing inside the shop when the gunman approached and shot him multiple times, killing him instantly.

The gunman fled with his accomplice, a man wearing a gray jacket.

While the man in the gray jacket was quickly apprehended, the gunman managed to escape.

Police investigations eventually revealed the identity of the gunman, and they discovered that a woman had also been involved in the crime, pointing out the victim's location.

Both suspects were charged with murder, and an arrest warrant was issued.

However, the couple was later caught during a dr*g buy-bust operation by the Station Drug Enforcement of the Delpan Police Station.

The operation took place at Gate 54 of the Parola Compound, where the suspects were found in possession of approximately 20 grams of suspected sh@bu worth P136,000.

It was revealed that the two were romantically involved, and the man previously arrested by police was the woman's brother.

According to the victim’s partner, the shooting occurred after the victim owed the gunman P2,500.

However, the gunman claimed the victim had stolen a cellphone from his uncle, and the shooting was a result of the victim’s disrespect when they demanded its return.
