According to a report by Mark Salazar on GMA News “24 Oras,” a Barangay 35 security officer witnessed the suspect pulling a child and intervened.

The incident caused alarm among parents, particularly as the school is located directly across from the barangay hall.
One parent, Lorenzo De Guzman, recounted his child's experience.
Another parent, Reggie del Mundo, shared a similar account.
Barangay Chairman Arnold Arenas stated that the suspect claimed he missed his wife and children and that this was the reason for his attempted abduction.
The suspect has undergone booking procedures at the Caloocan City Police's Women and Children's Desk.
He will face charges of attempted kidnapping on Wednesday.

Still in other news, OPM rapper Omar Baliw expressed frustration after a candidate allegedly used his hit song "K&B" without permission for a campaign jingle in the 2025 Elections. The candidate allegedly retained 80% of Omar Baliw’s lyrics, only adding their name, leading to confusion among listeners who assumed he was endorsing the politician. Pocholo De Leon Gonzales, a voice and music expert, emphasized that original campaign jingles can be created legally, and permission is required before using copyrighted songs. Gonzales highlighted that AI can now generate campaign jingles, but if a candidate insists on using a popular song, a modification and adaptation license from FILSCAP is required for legal use.
