A father who was picking up his son in Mabalacat, Pampanga died after he was shot inside his car by motorcycle-riding assailants.

In a report by Glam Calicdan-Dizon on GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on Thursday, Pampanga Police Provincial Director, Police Colonel Jay Dimaandal, said the crime occurred after the victim picked up his son.
The father and son were reportedly on Dau Access Road when the riding in tandem arrived and opened fire on them.
“Based po sa statement po ng anak, ‘yung unang baril po niya [ng suspek] is hindi pumutok. Hindi lang po talaga agad nag-stop yung kotse, kaagad na nakatakbo itong anak. Sa pangalawa, doon po pumutok at tinamaan po, isang bala lang po, tinamaan po ‘yung biktima,,” Dimaandal said.

The son also identified the shooter, Dimaandal added, adding that the investigation into the motive for the crime is still ongoing.
Meanwhile, a man in Floridablanca, Pampanga, was also shot and killed by motorcycle-riding assailants.
According to police investigation, the 66-year-old victim, Mario Garcia, was cleaning fish in a hut in Barangay San Pedro when he was shot by the assailant, who also quickly fled.
According to Dimaandal, the victim's relatives do not know of any possible enemies. However, he said he had quarrels with passersby in their area.
“According po sa mga kaanak niya, wala naman po siyang kagalit... kasi po kapag nagbibilad po siya ng palay, wala pong makadaan sa kalsada and ilang mga dumadaan doon na pinapagalitan niya,," Dimaandal said.
Investigations are still ongoing to determine the identities of the assailants.

Still in other news, a family of three almost met a tragic end when the motorcycle they’re riding in fell down when a dog crossed its path. GMA Regional News shared a CCTV footage from an establishment nearby captured the incident. In the footage, one can see the motorcycle carrying the rider, a woman and a child traversing the designated motorcycle lane. All of a sudden, a dog crossed their path, sending all three of them tumbling down with one narrowly missed by the tires of a passing SUV.
