A rider who was called out for passing through the EDSA Busway ran off and escaped.
As he was trying to get away from DOTr-SAICT, he hit an officer in the middle of the road who was also trying to stop him.
He then reasoned out that he simply lost his brakes.
This isn't the first time that riders tried to escape from getting a ticket for a traffic violation.

A rider who was caught counterflowing in traffic in Cagayan De Oro City took matters into his own hands and got into a fistfight with the two Road and Traffic Administration officers
A footage shared by GMA News showed the rider, along with a woman backriding.
An officer flagged them down, but instead of simply going through the process, he hit the officers apprehending him.
The woman riding the motorcycle with him even tried to stop him, but he went on with the assault, and eventually, another officer, along with two policemen came to help.
As they reached the other side of the road, one could see that the raucous has already caught the attention of police officers.
Two policemen then ran to the scene to offer help and de-escalate the situation.
A blotter was already made about the incident and the RTA also sent out a reminder to their enforcers to follow policies that they are enforcing.
