A 43-year-old aesthetic doctor passed away after drinking a beverage allegedly sent by one of his patients.

The Manila Police District Homicide Section reported that the incident took place inside the doctor’s clinic in Malate, Manila.

According to a report by Philstar, a delivery rider arrived with a beverage from a well-known coffee shop, which was reportedly sent by a patient named Gladys.

The doctor reportedly recognized the patient’s name, but after sipping the drink, he noted it tasted strange, prompting him to vomit violently.

In a report by Brigada, the doctor ran to the comfort room, where he eventually collapsed. They managed to bring the doctor to the Philippine General Hospital, but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The victim will undergo an autopsy to know the real cause of his death.
