Mary Jane Veloso, in a report by GMA News, would finally be able to come home to the Philippines.
According to the GMA News report, citing a ranking official of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) as source, they are currently waiting for the formal decision of Indonesia on the case of Veloso.
Eduardo Jose De Vega, the Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migration, stated that as soon as the final say of Jakarta is out, Philippine authorities would immediately meet with their Indonesian counterpart to talk about details of her transfer to a Philippine prison.

“Hinihintay lang natin ‘yong final decision ng Indonesia para uupo tayo with them para malaman kung ano ‘yong mga detalye, De Vega said in an interview over Radyo Pilipinas.
“Kasi ang usapan, kapag iuuwi sa atin parang dito lang siya nakakulong, pero paano tayo magkakaroon ng chance na eventually mapalaya rin siya,” De Vega added.
Earlier, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. stated that Veloso “is coming home soon” after he confirmed that the Philippines and Indonesia have agreed to “finally bring her back to the Philippines.”
