Some Naga City residents have to seek refuge in their neighbors’ houses, particularly those with third floors.

In a video shared by GMA News, one can see some of the residents of Barangay Traingulo in Naga City crossing over to their neighbors’ houses by way of rooftops.

These residents have to seek refuge in houses with third floors as floodwaters have already reached the second floor of many houses.

According to a resident named Kim Paraloan, they helped some of their neighbors go to the third floor of their house so they could escape the floodwaters brought about by typhoon Kristine.

At present, many other residents in the said barangay are appealing for help.

News, photos or videos that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media, due to the attention netizens give them. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people, making them very relatable.

Floodwaters in some parts of Albay have reached high levels, submerging even second floor levels of houses. In a video shared by GMA News, one can see floodwaters reaching the roofs some of the two-storey houses in Sta. Cruz, Libon, Albay. A teacher in the area who was able to post an appeal for help on social media said even evacuation centers were not spared by the floodwaters. She also voiced out her hopes about being rescued by rescuers.

In other news, three students who were trying to get some bananas to sell died after being struck by lightning. The incident happened in Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. Based on the report of GMA News, there were five cousins, all students, who just wanted to earn some money so that they could pay for their intramurals fees. The three died and the two were injured severely.
