PNP, isa rin sa tinitingnan motibo ay suspek maaari maging exclusive distributor pag nawala si Lerms

The Philippine National Police, through PBGen. Redrico Maranan, Regional Director PRO-3, told reporters in a press briefing, revealed possible twofold motives they’re looking at in the killing of the Lulu couple.

According to Gen. Maranan, since the mastermind is also engaged in the distribution of online products, it’s also possible one of the motives is the possibility of replacing Lerms Lulu as the exclusive distributor in case the latter is gone.

He gave an indication that the motive could be twofold as the huge debt the alleged mastermind owes from the couple would also be wiped out if they would be gone.

“Yung ating suspect na mastermind ay engaged din sa online products, so kung mawawala yung mag-asawa, siya na yung magiging exclusive distributor at the same time ay mawawala rin yung utang,” Gen. Maranan said.

It can be recalled that alleged mastermind, Anthony Limon, who is said to be one of the close friends of the Lulu couple, and six other suspects were recently apprehended by authorities.

According to the PNP, the alleged mastermind is said to owe the couple about 13 million pesos in beauty products.

Lerms Lulu, a popular online seller, and her husband Arvin Lulu, were killed in a broad daylight ambush in Pampanga. Lerms Lulu, whose real name is Lerma Waje Lulu, is one of the top distributors of “Brilliant Skin,” a rising cosmetic brand. In a report by Rappler quoting police authorities, the victims were onboard their vehicle when the incident happened. Many netizens, expressing shock at what happened, condoled with the family of the victims and also demanded justice for their untimely demise.

Recently, the Philippine National Police presented the suspects in the killing of Lerma "Lerms" Lulu and Arvin Lulu. Authorities apprehended seven individuals tagged in the murder of the couple. Tracker teams from the Mexico Municipal Police Station worked hand in hand with the Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Unit, the Regional Mobile Force Battalion and the 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Companies, had an operation from Oct. 13 to 14. The mastermind was allegedly a certain Anthony Limon, and that those who carried out the hit were gun for hire.

The PNP also released the video of the moment the suspects in the killing of Lerms Lulu and her husband were arrested. In the video, which look like it was taken by a drone, one can see what might be presumed as police officers apprehending a man and making him lie on the ground. In another scene, a man, who looked like he was in handcuffs, was being taken away by another police officer. It can be recalled that popular online seller Lerms Lulu, and her husband Arvin, were ambushed and killed in broad daylight last October 4.
