John Amores allegedly shot another basketball player.
It all started when he got into a heated argument with his opponent during a basketball game in Laguna.
The two were separated but, later on, agreed to settle things through a fistfight. They set a different location where they were supposed to fight.
However, CCTV footage shows that when Amores arrived near the location, he drew a gun and allegedly shot his opponent but missed.

He was then in hot pursuit of the police and expected to face an attempted murder case.
After a few hours of searching, Amores and his younger brother voluntarily surrender to authorities. According to the police, they received threats and they feared for their safety.
The two will then be put under inquest proceedings. Meanwhile, they refused to entertain any interview from the media.

Coach Tim took to X, formerly Twitter, and expressed sadness over the heartbreaking news.
