Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy recently gave a short message to all his followers.

In an ambush interview with GMA News, the embattled preacher was asked if he had any message at all to his supporters and church members.

Pastor Quiboloy, who was wearing a mask, heavily tinted glasses, military helmet, and bulletproof vest, immediately gave his message.

“Tatag lang. Tatag lang,” Pastor Quiboloy said, which essentially meant “be strong.”

The well-known preacher is the head of the church called “Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name,” sometimes referred to in the media in the abbreviated name “KOJC.”

The church claims to have a membership of around six million worldwide, with its members referring to Pastor Quiboloy as the “Appointed Son of God.”

After refusing to appear in a Senate hearing, the preacher was issued a Senate warrant of arrest, which was subsequently followed by the issuance of a warrant of arrest from a court.

He surrendered and submitted himself to authorities after about two weeks of hiding in the KOJC compound where a composite police force, numbering about 2,000 personnel, have been continuously searching since August 24.

Apollo Carreon Quiboloy is a church leader in the Philippines. He is the leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. He has made claims that he is "The Appointed Son of God" as well as being "The Owner of the Universe".

Several days ago, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has released the mugshots of Ptr. Apollo Quibolo of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC). GMA News shared the photos of the religious leader. He was holding the ID board in the photos, where his name was blurred out but the case filed was not. On the board, one could see that the religious leader was charged with a violation of Sec. 10 of RA 7610 or the Child Abuse Law.

Previously, the Philippine National Police also said that Pastor Quiboloy and his co-accused will remain at the PNP custodial center. This is located in Camp Crame in Quezon City. This was despite a court order for their transfer to the Quezon City jail. Earlier, uncovered mugshots were shared by DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos.
