Alice Leal Guo is the Mayor of the Municipality of Bamban, Tarlac. She won as mayor during the national elections in 2022. She became known nationwide after her name was dragged into the ongoing Senate investigations regarding Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations or (POGO) and the alleged proliferation of illegal immigrants. Her name has been the subject of many online memes since then.
Alice Guo's photo at Kuala Lumpur International Airport is making the rounds on social media. The picture was taken on July 21 before she flew to Singapore. In the photo from Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), Guo was seen together with a female companion. Just recently, two of Guo's companions were arrested in Indonesia.
Earlier, the Bureau of Immigration has confirmed that Alice Guo is now in Indonesia. According to GMA's report, the dismissed Bamban mayor arrived in the said country almost a month after her alleged departure from the Philippines. The spokesperson of BI, Dana Sandoval, mentioned that Guo allegedly traveled to Malaysia on July 16, and thereafter arrived in Indonesia from Singapore on August 18. The BI is also backtracking on the dismissed mayor's movements.
