A female barangay councilor was shot dead by a riding in tandem while she was walking on the road along with her 11-year-old son.

Based on the report in 24 Oras of GMA News, the incident happened around 11 p.m. on Tuesday in Brgy. 393 in Quiapo, Maynila.

The riding in tandem crept up slowly behind them, and the one riding at the back of the motorcycle took the shot.

She fell on the road and her son, scrambled away in fear.

According to her husband, she was a very kind woman and he believes that it was politically-motivated.

Meanwhile, a video that was taken inside one of UST's buildings has been circulating on social media. The St. Raymund de Peñafort of University Santo Tomas has been submerged in floodwaters. As of 3 PM, the floodwaters are currently knee-to-waist deep in the said building. The said video was released by The Flame.
