Carlos Yulo at iba pang Pinoy Olympians, dumating na sa Pilipinas lulan ng PAL chartered flight

Carlos Yulo and his fellow Pinoy Olympians landed a few minutes ago at the Villamor Airbase onboard a chartered Philippine Airlines plane.

The Philippine Olympic team, along with the 2-Olympic gold medalist Caloy, were treated to a red carpet welcome.

Among those who welcomed the team were government officials and a crowd of athletes waiting to welcome and congratulate the Pinoy Olympians.

Lining up the red carpet from the plane’s stairs were little kids carrying Philippine flaglets.

Among the first to disembark the plane was Eumir Marcial and other Pinoy Olympians.

Among the last to deplane were 2024 Paris Olympics bronze medalist Nesthy Petecio and 2-gold medalist Carlos Yulo.

The two were triumphantly holding a Philippine flag as they walked towards the waiting crowd.

Those who were waiting erupted in cheers on seeing the two.

The Pinoy Olympians, along with other athletes, government officials, and some guests will be treated to dinner before proceeding to Malacañang Palace.

Carlos Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He won two gold medals in gymnastics' men's floor exercise and men's vault in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

It can be recalled that Carlos made history for the Philippine Olympic campaign when he bagged not just one but two gold medals in different gymnastics event. This is the first time the Philippines won a medal in a gymnastics event and the first time two Olympic gold medals were won by a single athlete. The Olympian ruled the men's floor exercises of the artistic gymnastics competition and the men's vault. Because of this, he is set to receive lavish rewards both in monetary and real estate form. He will receive a cash prize of P10,000,000 from the government, a house and lot, and a condominium unit as pledged by a property developer.

Because of his feat, Carlos will receive P20 million cash incentive from PAGCOR, plus millions of cash incentives from other government agencies and companies. As for the incentive from PAGCOR, the announcement was made by its Chairman, Mr. Alejandro Tengco. Caloy is guaranteed by law to receive the incentive, and that will be coming from PAGCOR, as per reports.
