In a report by ABS-CBN, the jealous wife first poured kerosene on the alleged mistress and then set her on fire.

In an ambush interview with the suspect, she was consumed with so much anger after hearing her husband is having an affaire with the woman.

“Sobrang galit nga po. Mahal ko ang mister ko kahit ganon pa man. Ayokong magkaroon ng broken family yung mga anak ko,” the suspect said.

Authorities immediately arrested the 25-year-old jealous wife and charged her with frustrated homicide.

The alleged mistress was immediately brought by neighbors to the hospital, where she was declared out of danger, though she sustained burns on her hands, neck, and head.

She also narrated what she thought happened.

“Binuhusan ako ng gas habang natutulog ako. Sinindihan niya ako sa ulo. Lumiyab po ako. Tumatalon ako sa sobrang sakit, umaapoy na po ako... Humihingi na ako ng saklolo,” the victim said.
“Natataranta na po ang mga tao, hindi nila alam kung anong gagawin. Meron akong kaibigan na may hose inano nya ako na parang bumbero kaya namatay ang apoy,” the alleged mistress said.
