Post ng Bacolod student na nakaranas umano ng bodyshaming ng konduktor, viral: "Dalawa bayaran mo"

- A college student from Bacolod City expressed her heartbreak on social media after allegedly being bodyshamed by a jeepney conductor

- According to Lanimae Joy Libo-on Mag-aro, she rode a Homesite jeepney, but the conductor of the jeep told her to pay for two individuals

- "Regular ka? Dalawang upuan bayaran mo ha," said the conductor, to which she answered she's only a student

- Because of this, she told the conductor that she would alight from the jeepney, and just cried at the roadside

Lanimae Joy Libo-on Mag-aro, a college student from Bacolod City, took to Facebook, and shared a heartbreaking and traumatizing experience she allegedly had when she rode one of the aircon buses in the city.

The student narrated how a conductor allegedly body-shamed her, and told her in public in front of other passengers that she had to pay for two seats.

According to Lanimae, this convo transpired:

Conductor: "Regular ka? Dalawang upuan bayaran mo ha."

Lanimae: "Student po ako manong."
Conductor: "So P22 yung babayaran mo (student fare is P11 each)."
Lanimae: "Sige nalang po manong, bababa na lang po ako."
Lady passenger: "Sana hindi mo siya ginanon, ang sakit non."

When she alighted the jeepney, she cried, and her tears just kept on streaming down her face.

Lani said that at that point, she felt so ashamed of herself, having been humiliated in front of so many passengers.

She then wished that for all drivers and conductors, not to bodyshame their passengers.

Posts, such as photos or videos, that arouse the interest of netizens would often go viral on social media. These viral posts appeal to the emotions of netizens, and in rare cases, such could also happen to ordinary people.
