Hidilyn Diaz could not hold back the tears as the Philippine National Anthem was played in Bogota, Colombia, after she successfully bagged three gold medals at the World Championships, a video posted by SMNI showed.

Hidilyn achieved a total lift of 207kg, putting her ahead of Rosalba Morales and Ana Gabriela Lopez.

The 31-year-old champion has previously joined the world championships but got a bronze in 2015 and 2017.

The Olympian expressed gratitude to the country’s flag carrier, Philippine Airlines. This, after PAL sponsored the Filipino Olympic athletes' travel to Tokyo, Japan for the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The Olympic gold medalist also thanked the airline for their faith in the national athletes. The Filipina weightlifter penned the said note during her flight from Tokyo to Manila.
