Leobert Dasmariñas, the suspect in the alleged killing of 22-year-old Jovelyn Galleno, brought the authorities to the area where he and another cousin allegedly killed and molested Jovelyn Galleno.

A video of the visit of the suspect, along with the authorities was shared on social media by Radyo Bandera Philippines.

Several policemen were with Leobert when he visited the place. He was handcuffed and was wearing black and white striped long sleeves, with a hood.

Aside from showing authorities where the alleged crime happened, he also pointed to authorities where they allegedly threw the belongings of the victim.

A more recent video showed not only when they're already at the alleged crime scene, but one taken as they were on their way to the stated crime scene.

Jovelyn Gallano is a 22-year-old employee working in a mall in Palawan. She went missing on August 5. According to her sister, her employer said that Jovelyn already signed out from her work around 6:30 p.m. on that day. She was still able to send a message to her sister but she wasn’t able to go home anymore.

The family of Leobert Dasmariñas, one of the two suspects in the Jovelyn Galleno case, has given their statement in an interview about their kin’s admission of the purported crime. According to his mother, while she wouldn’t immediately dismiss as untrue the admission of Leobert, she doesn’t feel the “impact” of the allegations made being the mother of the suspect. The suspect’s younger sister, on the other hand, said she can’t believe the allegations because she knew her “kuya” well. Recently, a skull and skeleton, purportedly belonging to Jovelyn, was discovered by the police right in the location where Dasmariñas said they abandoned the body.

The suspect who admitted to allegedly killing and assaulting Jovelyn Galleno has not been charged with a crime yet. This was according to the Philippine National Police (PNP) in the city. A police officer explained that they do not have the result of the DNA examination yet that would prove that it was indeed the bones of Jovelyn. The process will take a long time but the PNP is also doing everything to expedite the case.
