The teacher in the viral TikTok video, which resulted in an investigation, has already issued an apology, according to Benjo Basas of Teacher's Dignity Coalition, as per his interview over Teleradyo.

ABS-CBN reported that the teacher said that it was just "katuwaan lang."
“Naglabas na ng apology yung ating teacher po dito at sinabi niyang yon ay katuwaan lang," said Basas in a TeleRadyo interview.
He clarified though that the apology does not mean that they could just let it pass. He underscored that one could not just say that it was "katuwaan" and simply let the person concerned go scot-free, and treat it as if nothing happened.

"Again hindi naman natin pupuwedeng sabihin na yung lahat ng mga bagay basta katuwaan lang ay palalampasin po natin," said Basas.
Basas commended the school where the teacher in the viral video was working, primarily for its quick action in the investigation of the issue.
He said that the discipline committee of the school was immediatley gathered and the issue with the teacher was discussed.
Basas expressed though that the name of the teacher was somehow dragged through the mud because of the video, while emphasizing that they are not condoning the act.
