Atty. Jose Sison, the longtime host of the legal and crime drama program “Ipaglaban Mo!,” has passed away at the age of 88. His son, lawyer Joseph Peter “Jopet” Sison, confirmed his father’s passing through a Facebook post on Thursday, July 23.

Jopet shared that his father peacefully passed away and expressed comfort in knowing that he lived a meaningful life surrounded by his loved ones. He wrote:

“This morning, July 23, 2026, our Papa Ping peacefully joined our Creator.”

The younger Sison honored his father’s journey as a lawyer and highlighted the important roles he played within their family. He continued:

“We are comforted that he lived a full life as a lawyer, a husband to Josie, a father to his six children, and a grandfather to his sixteen grandchildren.”

Jopet likewise asked the public to offer prayers for his father and to remember him fondly as he paid tribute to Atty. Jose Sison’s life and legacy. He wrote:

“Please keep him in your prayers and remember him with love and fond memories.”

The younger Sison also shared details about the wake and interment arrangements for his father. He announced:

“The Wake will be held at Ascension Chapel, The Immaculate Conception Cathedral of Cubao, 40 Lantana, Cubao, Quezon City, beginning Friday afternoon , July 24, 2026. The Interment will be at Heavens Gate 1 Memorial Park, Antipolo City on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Time to be announced.”
