Dina Bonnevie recalls how she overcame bitterness over separation with Vic Sotto

Veteran actress Dina Bonnevie gave an insightful interview about her past on the GMA program “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.”

Dina admitted to getting bitter before about her split with former husband Vic Sotto and his relationship with Coney Reyes.

According to Dina, she decided to overcome her bitterness when her daughter with Vic — Danica Sotto — advised her to change and let go.

“It took a lot of time, until the point where Danica was telling me, ‘Alam mo Mommy, you’re so bitter. I wish you would really let go, because you are so bitter. Through time, sabi ko, walang pupuntahan ito, unless I really let go and just accept that it’s like this,” Dina shared.

Dina also learned to love Coney after the latter invited her to church to help her learn about the good news of Jesus.

“Nakita ko na, she changed in leaps and bounds, like bringing people to God, bringing people to Jesus, and telling people about the good news of salvation. So I asked myself, ‘Is this a person I would like to hate? I can’t hate this person. I can’t,” she explained.

Vic Sotto is a famous comedian, actor, and television personality in the Philippines. He married Dina Bonnevie in 1982 but they broke up after four years, with their marriage officially annulled in 1992. Dina and Vic have two children — Danica and Oyo Boy Sotto. Vic also had a relationship with Coney Reyes and they have a son named Vico Sotto, the current mayor of Pasig City. Vic is now married to Pauleen Luna and they have two daughters — Tali and Mochi.

In another report, Vic’s wife Pauleen treated her followers to a new heartwarming post. She shared a collage displaying photos of Tali and Baby Mochi captured six years apart. In the adorable photos, Tali and Baby Mochi could be seen wearing the same top. To recall, the two celebrity kids were born on November 6, 2017 and January 23, 2024, respectively.

Earlier, Vic and Pauleen marked a significant event in the life of their baby girl named Thia Marceline, affectionately known as Mochi. They recently welcomed Baby Mochi into the Christian world through a Catholic baptism. Attendees of the lovely ceremony shared on social media some glimpses of the christening. Paulina Sotto took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of her and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto with their baby sister.
