Social media influencer and motivational coach Rendon Labador shared his thoughts on the management of the TV5 noontime show “E.A.T.” apologizing over host Joey de Leon’s controversial “lubid joke.”
According to Rendon, he got surprised that Joey knew how to apologize. Rendon said this even if it was the show’s management that released the public apology.
He advised Joey to change his ways because he and other people are supposedly not enjoying his jokes any longer. Joey got into hot waters after he said “Lubid, lubid. Nakalimutan nyo” after a contestant on the program asked about things that are hung around the neck.
“Ngayon ko lang nalaman na marunong palang mag-sorry si Joey De Leon. Sana magbago kana kasi hindi na kami natutuwa sa mga biro mo. Huwag mo nang uulitin,” Rendon posted.

However, Rendon clarified that although he accepts E.A.T.’s apology over the joke, he still wants MTRCB to investigate the matter.
”Tinatanggap namin ang apology mo pero dapat imbestigahan ka pa rin,” Rendon said.
Joey de Leon is an iconic actor, comedian, and television host in the Philippines. He is a member of the comedy trio Tito, Vic and Joey and has made several comedy movies and TV shows. Joey is also best known for being a pioneer host of the longest-running noontime show in the country, “Eat Bulaga.” It premiered on July 30, 1979.
In a previous report by KAMI, Joey shared a new cryptic post on social media. On his Instagram page, Joey shared a photo of him with “Ellen of Hollywood.” Ellen is a character made using artificial intelligence who reminds the contestants of E.A.T.’s “Gimme 5: Laro ng Mga Henyo” about each round’s mechanics. In the caption, the comedian said Ellen was asked about her thoughts on television. According to Joey, Ellen jokingly answered, “Fakeapalan leng.”
In another post, the comedian talked about the title “Eat Bulaga” once again. According to Joey, he had fun creating the catchy title. The comedian also expressed his honest reaction that parties are battling for the title’s ownership. He also intriguingly expressed, “Happy problem? Abangan!”
