After original Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon resigned from TAPE Inc., the latter continued on the show with a set of new hosts, still bearing the Eat Bulaga name in its title.
Once the original hosts transfer to a new network, the public are expecting for them to also use Eat Bulaga in their title.
Amid this confusion, Tito took to Twitter to share a quote about International Copyright.
According to International Copyright, creators are rightful owners of their work whether they applied for a trademark or not.

"International Copyright dictates that CREATORS are rightful owners whether applied for or not. Nostradamus never filed for copyright. Let anyone try to apply for it. He will be looked upon as a fool,” the tweet reads.
Eat Bulaga is the longest-running noontime program in the world. Its hosts, including Vic Sotto, Tito Sotto, Joey De Leon, Maine Mendoza, and others announced last May 31 that they are separating from TAPE Inc., the company that produces the show. It is not yet clear as of this writing if the hosts will take the Eat Bulaga title with them to another network or if TAPE Inc. will keep the iconic name.
In other news, Maine Mendoza also took to social media and shared a heartfelt post about “Eat Bulaga.” On her online page, Maine uploaded some photos taken at the show’s studio. Along with the photos, the TV host penned a message to Dabarkads and to the noontime program.
Meanwhile, Alden Richards shared a stirring photo of himself at the noontime program's studio. Ryan Agoncillo, one of the show's hosts, took the said photo of Alden. Along with the pic, Alden wrote a short but heartfelt caption.
