Chito Miranda revealed that he recently experienced his worst nightmare as the vocalist of the iconic OPM band Parokya ni Edgar.

After a series of gigs this December, Chito thought that their December 19 show was the last one for the year and that their December 21 gig was canceled.

For this reason, he scheduled a vacation in Pico de Loro in Batangas with his children for December 20-21.

However, he later found out that the December 21 gig will push through. Despite this, Chito still went to Pico de Loro with his kids and then rushed to EDSA Shangri-La on December 21 to perform.

Unfortunately, Chito lost his voice while having a vacation with his children.

Chito performed despite his damaged voice but to his surprise, the band’s fans did not let them feel like their performances were inadequate.

The Parokya ni Edgar frontman thanked their fans for making their band feel special even if he did not perform as well as he wanted to. Because of the fans, Chito’s nightmare became one of his most fulfilling nights as a vocalist.

“Huling hirit. Last gig ng 2022. Tonight's gig was definitely my worst for this year...but also one of the best for Parokya.

“Eh biglang natuloy. Ayoko naman i-cancel yung plans ko with my family...so ayun: nag-Pico kami at naligo kami sa beach habang umu-ulan at nag-enjoy naman kami ng todo hehe (sulit naman dahil sobrang nag-enjoy yung kids)

“Pero yun nga... nawalan na ko ng boses. My worst nightmare bilang bokalista.

“Mula Pico, dumiretso na ko Edsa Shang...and tried my best to rest in my hotel room. Todo tubig at tulog. Wala talaga...sama talaga ng boses ko.

“Ginising na ko at tutugtog na daw kami. Buti nalang sobrang saya ng crowd...and wala silang paki sa boses ko. Sinabayan lang nila kami buong set.

“Ayun...ang ending, napadami pa kami ng kanta at sobrang enjoy yung gabi. I was struggling buong set at nahihiya talaga ako kasi di ko mabigay yung best ko...pero ni once never pina-feel ng crowd na kulang yung binibigay namin bilang banda. Sobrang saya talaga. Maraming, maraming salamat po,” Chito shared.

Chito Miranda is a famous music artist – the frontman of the iconic OPM band Parokya Ni Edgar. He got married to actress Neri Naig on December 13, 2014 and they have an adorable son named Miggy. In October 2021, Neri gave birth to their second child Manuel Alfonso Miranda, whose nickname is Cash.
