Cristy Fermin, during “Cristy Ferminute” on Tuesday, shared some stories she heard about Jake Zyrus.

The showbiz columnist said there are Filipinos based in the US who claimed that they often see the singer drinking liquor and becoming aggressive when drunk.

“Uy, pag-usapan natin si Jake Zyrus. Ano nagaganap kay Jake? Ang daming mga Pilipino na nagkukwento sa iba't ibang lugar sa America na parati siyang nakikitang lasing. At kapag nalalasing na, nawawala sa sarili, nagwawala,” Cristy aired.

Cristy’s co-host, Romel Chika, then reacted, "Naku, mukhang mabigat ang mga pinagdaraanan nito. Mukhang maraming iniisip ito.”

“Matindi ito, matindi ito. Kasi 'yung pag-inom okay lang 'yan. Kung may okasyon, uminom. Pero kapag nakainom na, eh teka muna, ba't nagwawala? Ano ang kanyang malalim na problema?” the veteran entertainment reporter expressed.

She then supposed, “May malalim na problema itong si Jake. Dapat niya talagang anuhin 'to, ayusin.”

Jake Zyrus is a well-known singer and songwriter in the Philippines. He was previously known as Charice Pempengco, the girl who made international TV appearances because of her singing prowess.

Earlier, Cristy Fermin also shared a supposed update she heard about Jake Zyrus. Nanay Cristy said she learned the update from her sources who have been living in the US for decades. The sources claim that Jake usually performs in small public houses and bars in America.

Cristy Fermin aired her frank thoughts on Jake Zyrus’ relationship with his family. In an episode of “Showbiz Now Na,” Cristy said Jake and his family used each other for their own benefit. According to Cristy, Jake gained people’s sympathy because of his parents’ broken relationship. The veteran showbiz columnist likewise said that the singer was treated as “makinang pambuhay ng kanilang pamilya."
