Lolit Solis took to social media to address the rumor that GMA 7 did not renew Willie Revillame’s contract because of politics.

According to Lolit, there is no political conflict between Willie and GMA. She explained that it is normal for networks to not renew contracts with celebrities even if they are famous.
The showbiz writer added that Willie has parted ways with networks before including ABS-CBN and TV5. However, Lolit believes there is hope that Willie will collaborate with Manny Villar on a future project.
“Hindi ko alam kung bakit malaking issue iyon case ni Willie Revillame sa GMA7. Simple lang naman, hindi ni renew ang kontrata, period.

“Hindi sa anuman dahilan, wala ang pulitika, walang ibang issue, basta walang renewal. Naka bigla siguro dahil hindi mo aakalain na hindi iri renew ng GMA7, at Willie Revillame ito kaya kung anuano na lang ang binibigay na dahilan.
“Hindi dahil sa ginawa na partylist ang Tutok to Win, dahil bakit ang Agimat ni Bong Revilla isa narin partylist.
“Wala lang, bakit hindi matanggap na kahit Willie Revillame ka, puwede kang pawalan ng network, hindi renew kontrata at programa mo. Nangyayari ito, at lagi naman ganuon ang sistema. Pag kailangan serbisyo mo, bibigyan ka ng contract, pag hindi na, wala na.
“Tanggap iyon ng bawat artista, talagang nangyayari sa buhay nila. Mabuti nga si Willie at baka kunin pa ng mga VILLAR kaya meron parin pag asa. Nawala siya sa Chanel 2, nawala sa TV5, ngayon wala narin sa GMA7 pero at least meron parin VILLAR. May pag asa pa,” Lolit posted on Instagram.
