Dennis expressed his displeasure through a Facebook post on Thursday evening, November 5, 2026. He explained that he could no longer keep himself from commenting on the matter, particularly because the business had reportedly not answered his calls.

“Hindi ko lang mapigilang mag react dito, tutal ayaw niyo sumagot sa tawag ko…sige dito tayo mag usap,” the actor wrote at the beginning of his post.

“Anak ng OCW, bugbog-sarado sa stepfather.”

The actor directly addressed the business and questioned its decision to use that particular newspaper clipping, especially in an event setup intended for a children's celebration.

“Party Magic, bakit niyo naman napiling gamitin ito mismong kopya ng tabloid na ito? Sa theme ng children’s party pa ha? Paki paliwanag please,” Dennis said.

Dennis subsequently revealed the personal connection his family had to the story featured in the clipping. According to the actor, the child described in the old tabloid report was none other than Jennylyn, making the business's decision particularly upsetting for him.

“Sa mga hindi nakaka alam, yung naka headline na batang binugbog ay yung asawa ko. Tama ba naman ma yun pa ang ilagay niyo?” he added.

His public reaction brought attention to the use of the old news report in a setting intended for children. Rather than simply questioning the choice of newspaper material, Dennis emphasized that the headline involved a painful experience from his wife's childhood.

Previous reports about Jennylyn revealed that she allegedly endured severe physical abuse at the hands of her stepfather when she was only three years old.

The incident remains a deeply personal part of the actress's past. Dennis's post highlighted why the inclusion of such a headline in a children's party-themed setup was something he found difficult to accept.

As of the details shared in his post, the actor was seeking an explanation from Party Magic regarding its decision to feature the particular tabloid clipping.

Jennylyn Mercado is a Filipino actress and singer, raised by her aunt Lydia Mercado, who legally adopted her after she experienced an abusive childhood, and is the biological daughter of Noli Pineda. She rose to fame after winning the first season of StarStruck and became known for hit projects such as Rhodora X, My Faithful Husband, and Descendants of the Sun; she previously had a relationship with actor Patrick Garcia, with whom she shares a son, Jazz, and is now happily married to actor Dennis Trillo, with whom she has a daughter, Dylan, while also raising their blended family with Dennis' son, Calix.

In another report, Dennis Trillo reflected on the mistakes he made in the past and how those experiences contributed to the person he has become. In a Facebook post, the actor acknowledged the role of his past struggles in shaping his present self and expressed confidence in his personal growth. He also asked his followers through a poll whether they had already moved on from their previous difficulties. His caption included hashtags promoting kindness and spreading love, without pointing to any specific person or event.

Meanwhile, Dennis Trillo caught the attention of social media users after uploading a photo with Alden Richards on Facebook on October 28. The actor included the hashtags “#magingmabutingtao” and “#Aldenatics” in his caption and later shared the same picture on Instagram Stories, using Alden's version of “God Gave Me You” as background music. His posts came as Xian Gaza's allegations involving Alden and other personalities who had spoken about the actor's kindness were circulating online.
