Ruffa Gutierrez has opened up about the circumstances that led to the end of her relationship with Herbert Bautista, explaining that factors beyond their control eventually brought them in different directions.

The actress discussed her past romance during her appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Tuesday, October 27. Her revelation came after host Boy Abunda revisited her earlier statement describing the challenges in their relationship as a temporary “bump.”
Ruffa and Herbert surprised the public when they confirmed their romance in 2024. However, after two years together, the former couple eventually announced their separation, leaving many curious about what happened between them.
When asked about their breakup, Ruffa explained that their relationship simply reached a point where things no longer worked out.

“It didn't work because there were things beyond our control, I guess, that made him go through a different phase, and ako rin. Ganu'n lang.”
The former beauty queen also reflected on how relationships do not always have the endings people hope for. She compared their romance to a storybook, emphasizing that some chapters are meant to be enjoyed even if they do not last forever.
“Not all storybooks are going to last forever. Sometimes, you just enjoy that chapter, and you close the book, and you move on.”

“I think that space kasi just became much bigger with Herbert. We are still friends, we communicate regularly. Kung may advice akong kailangan, kinakausap ko pa rin siya, at minsan, tumatawag din siya sa 'kin. But I have not seen him face to face since we broke up,” sabi ni Ruffa.

“Sinasabi nila, 'Sino kaya ang mapapangasawa ni Ruffa one day?' Sabi ko, 'Ma, bakit kayong dalawa ni Daddy, ako ang pinagtsitsismisan n'yo?' Now, they're really wondering who am I gonna end up with kasi ang tagal ko nang walang jowa,” kuwento ni Ruffa.
