During a recent episode of Kalurks!, the discussion turned to the viral controversy involving Machong Chismisan, where one of the hosts claimed Josh was "walang kwenta" while making fun of his gestures as well.

Calling out the hosts for speaking as if they knew the family personally, Ashley questioned how anyone could make such hurtful assumptions:

"Grabe naman yung claim na yun, na para bang nasa iisang bahay sila para masabi niya na walang silbe, diba?"

Ashley did not hold back in criticizing the brand of comedy that uses another person's vulnerabilities for laughs:

"Sabi ng taong 12 years nang nasa podcast pero hindi naman kilala yung podcast, ngayon lang nakilala dahil sa statement na yun. Grabe kayo, napaka-cheapshot naman kasi na tirahin ang disability ng isang tao. It's not like it was their choice. It's not like ginusto nila na ganun yung condition nila, diba?"

She also stressed that humor should never punch down on vulnerable individuals: "And for you to think na it's fun or like it's funny... ako, I am not a fan of that kind of comedy."

Addressing the public apology released by the podcast after deleting the broadcast, Ashley expressed skepticism about whether the hosts genuinely reflected before the public outrage took over:

"I think nagsisisi sila dahil nahuli sila. But kung hindi naman naging ganto kalaki yung issue, I don't think they would be apologetic about it. They would still think that it's funny. But dahil diyan, meron talagang consequences ang mga actions."
