Taking to his verified Instagram Stories @jose_liwanag, Carlo re-shared a news report from Inquirer detailing how the hosts of the podcast Machong Chismisan mocked the eldest son of the Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino.
Visibly appalled that adult creators would target someone with special needs for entertainment, Carlo wrote a sharp, direct statement:
"Grown-a*s men making fun of a person with a disability. Sino talaga ang mas may matinong pag-iisip ngayon?"

The controversy originated from Season 29 Episode 20 of Machong Chismisan, titled "Ang Pagbabalik Ni Kris Aquino," which aired on October 5, 2026.
During the discussion, one of the podcast hosts made a comparison between Josh and his brother Bimby, calling Josh "walang kwenta" at one point.
Although the show's producers pulled down the full episode and issued a formal apology after clips circulated on social media, the incident sparked widespread criticism across the entertainment industry.
Carlo's reaction reflects the broader sentiment shared by numerous public figures who have stepped forward in defense of Kuya Josh. Renowned fashion designer Michael Leyva previously called out the podcasters, declaring that mocking Josh's condition "is not funny, and it will never be funny."
Veteran television host Boy Abunda also addressed the issue on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, strongly condemning the remarks as cruel, pointing out laws against public ridicule of PWDs, and urging Kris to take legal action.
