Jennylyn Mercado will not comment on Patrick Garcia’s recent statements about their past, her management Aguila Entertainment said in an official statement.

The statement came after Patrick opened up about his former relationship with the actress in an interview on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel.
In the interview uploaded on September 29, Patrick shared his version of events surrounding their breakup nearly two decades ago. He also denied claims that he abandoned Jennylyn while she was pregnant with their son, Alex Jazz.
Amid the renewed discussion about their past, Aguila Entertainment said Jennylyn has chosen not to respond publicly.

“Our artist, Jennylyn Mercado, will not comment or grant any interviews regarding Patrick Garcia’s statements on Ogie Diaz’s YouTube channel,” the agency said.
Her management added that Patrick has the right to tell his own story through the platform of his choice.
“Everyone is entitled to share their story on whatever platform they choose,” the statement read.
However, Jennylyn does not intend to give her own version of what happened.
“In this case, Jennylyn would rather not share her side of the story out of respect for the privacy and peace of mind of both her family and Patrick’s.”
The actress also made a direct appeal to people commenting on the issue.
“Jennylyn asks the public to stop the hate and refrain from bashing Patrick’s family, especially his daughter, Michelle.”
Patrick previously said that one of the reasons he decided to speak was the negative comments his daughter Michelle Garcia had been receiving online. According to the actor, Michelle asked him to finally tell his side after some comments about her reportedly involved issues connected to his past.
Despite choosing not to revisit the controversy in an interview, Jennylyn’s management gave an update about her family life.
“Rest assured that Jennylyn and her son, Jazz, are living a good and happy life with her husband, Dennis, daughter Dylan, and stepson Calix,” the statement said.
Jennylyn is married to actor Dennis Trillo, who is also represented by Aguila Entertainment. The management company has previously issued public statements on behalf of the actress regarding matters involving her family and career.
