Yeng Constantino is marking 20 years in the entertainment industry with a major career milestone—a sold-out two-night solo concert at the Araneta Coliseum on August 28 and 29.

The “Hawak Kamay” hitmaker, who is also set to make her GMA debut as a coach on The Voice Kids, expressed deep gratitude as she reflected on the opportunity to celebrate two decades in show business through her concert, “Biyaheng Bente.”

For Yeng, the occasion is particularly meaningful because it marks her first solo concert at the iconic venue.

“Binigyan po tayo ng pagkakataon na ganito na makapag-celebrate ng aking 20th anniversary sa Araneta Coliseum,” Yeng said in a sit-down interview with GMANetwork.com.

The singer-songwriter admitted that she became emotional while taking in the support surrounding her milestone, particularly after seeing reactions from fans online.

“Sa mga nakakita po sa akin online, ang aking pag-iyak ay talagang lubos-lubos. Grabe si Lord,” she shared.

Yeng also credited God for making the celebration possible, acknowledging that reaching such a milestone was never something she could simply take for granted.

“'Yan ang sinasabi ko talaga na napakabuti ng Panginoon. Pwede namang hindi, pero tinupad Niya pa rin,” she said.

Adding to the significance of the concert is the fact that it will be Yeng’s first solo show at the Araneta Coliseum. She also expressed appreciation to the fans who secured tickets for the much-anticipated event.

“This is my first solo concert po sa Araneta,” Yeng said.

She then thanked those who supported her concert by purchasing tickets.

“Gusto ko lang po magpasalamat sa mga taong bumili ng ticket. I can't wait, kung alam n'yo lamang po.”

Behind the scenes, Yeng has been putting considerable effort into preparing for the show. Since “Biyaheng Bente” will be longer than her usual performances, she has returned to training, including movement classes and voice lessons.

“Pinapagod ko talaga ang aking sarili para po paghandaan ito. May mga movement classes po ako, may mga voice lessons ako. Bumabalik po ako doon ulit dahil mas mahaba po 'yung show,” she explained.

Yeng also assured concertgoers that she and her team are doing everything they can to make the anniversary celebration worthwhile.

“I'm really preparing at gusto ko pong masulit ninyo ang inyong pagbili ng ticket sa aking show. 'Di ko po kayo bibiguin,” she said.

She added that the entire team is committed to delivering a memorable experience for the audience.

“Kami po ng team, we are doing our best to give you a great show.”

“Biyaheng Bente” is directed by John Prats, with musical direction by Ria Osorio.

Following the concert celebration, Yeng is also preparing for another new chapter as she joins The Voice Kids as one of its coaches. She will share the coaching panel with Julie Anne San Jose and Gloc-9.

She explained that the composition was inspired by an emotional family experience involving a cousin who had been welcomed into their home but eventually decided to look for their biological family. Yeng said she never imagined that the song would eventually touch listeners from different generations.
