Speaking to entertainment reporters, Sanchez was asked about the possibility of Roxas making another attempt at a political career. She made it clear that her husband is no longer interested in pursuing another position in government.
“Ayaw na niya, eh. I get it. Inaalok ngang maging talk show host. Sabi ko, ‘Tumigil ka. Naging presidential candidate ka na. ‘Wag ka nang mag-host-host pa ng programa.’”
Sanchez also expressed admiration for the work Roxas accomplished during his years in public service. She said she understands why he now prefers a quieter life away from the political spotlight.

“If you think about all of the laws and reforms that Mar has been able to pass, pati ako ay mahihiyang tumakbo. Hindi ko kaya ‘yung mga ginawa niya.”
Her remarks came amid questions about reports that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. may have offered Roxas a position in his administration. Sanchez acknowledged that her husband had received offers, although she said he does not always share such matters with her.
“Ang alam ko, may mga alok siya. Pero alam n’yo, pati sa akin, hindi niya sinasabi sa akin. May mga alok siya pero ang alam ko ay ayaw na talaga niya,” she told reporters.
Despite Roxas’ decision, Sanchez said he still hopes the current administration succeeds.
“Pero, katulad natin, siya rin naman ay inaasam na magtagumpay ang administration,” she added.
Sanchez was also asked whether she herself had political ambitions. Unlike her husband, she admitted that entering politics has been something she has considered for years, although she remains uncertain about whether she will actually pursue it.

“Actually, matagal na akong may plano. Dati-dati pa. Napipigilan parati. Palagay ko, mapipigilan na naman ngayon. Lahat sila, gusto akong tumakbo. Pero mahirap na. Kailangang alamin muna natin.”
Meanwhile, Sanchez expressed pride in seeing her program, “Rated Korina,” air on both ABS-CBN and TV5, calling attention to the broadcast platforms that have been part of her long career.
“I am very proud to have been honed by ABS-CBN,” she shared.
Korina Sanchez is an acclaimed Filipino broadcast journalist, news anchor, and television host best known for her long-running stint on TV Patrol and her flagship magazine program Rated Korina (formerly Rated K). Throughout her multi-decade career across major local networks, she has earned numerous accolades for news and public affairs broadcasting while expanding into digital media and journalism.
In another report, Korina Sanchez put an end to speculation that the colors she wears on “Agenda” are meant to convey political messages. The veteran broadcaster explained that her wardrobe choices are part of the program’s assigned color-coding system, with specific colors designated each week. Korina stressed that the colors should not be interpreted as signs of support for or affiliation with particular politicians. Her clarification came after social media users noticed and discussed her outfits, which also earned praise for their stylish presentation.
Meanwhile, Korina Sanchez revealed that she has privately considered making a move into politics, although her husband, Mar Roxas, does not share the same interest. The veteran journalist said she would be open to running for office, but Mar has firmly rejected the idea of participating in the 2028 elections. She also shared that Mar has no plans to pursue the presidency or return to hosting a talk show. Despite the difference in their plans, Korina continues to maintain a busy career through her various television and digital projects.
