Andrea Brillantes is embracing a more action-packed chapter in her career as she continues to take on physically demanding scenes for TV5 and Netflix series A Secret in Prague.

The actress-entrepreneur, who stars opposite Enrique Gil, has been showing her versatility through her role as Chiara, the daughter of a Mafia leader. Despite the challenges involved in filming action sequences, Andrea said she enjoys performing stunts herself whenever she feels capable of handling them.

Andrea spoke with select members of the entertainment press before the grand mediacon of “TARA KAPATID, 2026 Midyear Media and Trade Celebration” held at the MVP Studio of TV5 on August 6.

During the media interaction, she revealed that she is set to return to Europe this week with some of her co-stars for the next major developments in A Secret in Prague.

For Andrea, the demanding action sequences have become one of the most enjoyable aspects of playing Chiara. She admitted that she particularly likes scenes where she gets to perform her own stunts instead of relying on a double.

“Nagugustuhan ko ‘yung nahihirapan ako, nagugustuhan ko ‘yong stunts na ako talaga ‘yung gumagawa. Nagugustuhan ko ‘yong ‘pag may natatalo ako, kapag may nabubugbog akong mga lalaki,” Andrea said.

Her statement prompted the entertainment press to tease her about whether she imagines a particular man in her life whenever she performs scenes where she defeats or beats male characters.

“Wala naman po. Ha-hahaha! Masarap lang sa pakiramdam. Masaya lang (yung role),” Andrea replied, laughing.

With her growing confidence in action roles, Andrea also revealed that she would be interested in starring in an action movie if given the opportunity. She specifically mentioned wanting to do something similar to BuyBust, the action film previously led by Anne Curtis.

Beyond her career choices, Andrea also reflected on how she has changed as she grows older. She said she can now feel her maturity not only through the roles she accepts but also through the way she handles her personal finances.

Meanwhile, Bea Borres revealed that she had kept Alex Gonzaga’s pregnancy private for an extended period. The influencer shared screenshots of her conversation with Andrea Brillantes, who had personally asked whether Alex, whose real name is Catherine, was expecting a baby. Rather than confirming or denying the matter, Bea chose to keep the information confidential and simply encouraged Andrea to pray for Alex.
